Muffins on Main

Muffin Shop

It was a perfect storm in the best sense.

In the fall of 2015, the retail space in the former Wright & Fletcher store at 40 Main Street became vacant. Baker Pam Sulka had a muffin-making job, but deep down wanted to have her own muffin shop. Living across the street, she noticed when the building at 40 Main Street was sold.

When the new owner asked Pam if she would consider opening a muffin shop at 40 Main, it took Pam less than a minute to say, “Yes”.

The Baker’s vision: muffins and scones fresh-baked every morning. The best cup of coffee she could find. A warm and welcoming space.

In December 2016, Muffins on Main opened its doors. The Sal blueberry muffin, The Bog cranberry & orange muffin, The Willy-Wonka chocolate chip muffin, The Marnie Raisin Bran muffin and The French Breakfast muffin filled the new pastry case.

Wicked Joe Coffee, roasted in Topsham, ME filled the carafes.

Muffins sold out by 10:15 AM. Muffins on Main was launched! Here’s what a few of our new friends have to say:

“I’ve been waiting for a place like this”

“We want to come here everyday!”

“A great place to sit and watch the world go by”

“This place is a gem! Friendly staff, strong coffee, fantastic muffins!”
